Scuba Diving Medical Information

In order to provide the highest levels of safety, scuba diving in Queensland is subject to strict government and industry regulations. Before being allowed to participate in a dive on the Great Barrier Reef, your medical fitness will need to be assessed. This is done via a self-assessed medical declaration.

However, if you answer yes to any of the declaration questions, or fail the BMI test, you will be required to see a doctor (preferably one with dive experience) for a dive medical for clearance to scuba dive.
