PADI Dive Master 

The PADI Divemaster Course is the is the first step to becoming a scuba diving professional. Divemaster certification allows you to supervise recreational diving activities (either boat or land-based), work as an instructional assistant on all PADI courses and is just one step away from the PADI Instructor rating. 

The course, conducted under the direct supervision of a PADI instructor up to 15 days, will fine-tune your dive skills, increase your dive knowledge, and develop your management and supervision abilities.  The coursework is centred around leadership and taking charge of dive activities. Through knowledge development sessions, water skill exercises and workshops, and hands-on practical assessments, you develop the skills to organise and direct a variety of scuba diving activities.

- The role and characteristics of the PADI Divemaster

- Supervising dive activities and assisting with students divers

- Diver safety and risk management

- Divemaster conducted programs and specialised skills

- The business of diving and your career

- Awareness of the dive environment

- Dive setup and management

- Mapping an open water site

- Conducting dive briefings

- Organising a search and recovery project and a deep dive

- Conducting a scuba review and skin diver course

- assisting with Discover Scuba Diving and leading Discover Local Diving programs.

EMC: A Government Environmental Management Charge (EMC) of $8.5 per person per day applies to all adults and children 4 years and over entering the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage area. This fee is included in the fare price.
Surcharge: Due to potential significant volatility in supply and operational costs, a surcharge may be applied due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases any charge will be collected on departure.
This additional fee includes Port Departure Tax and administration costs.

Fuel Surcharge: Due to the significant increase and volatility of fuel prices in Australia, it has regrettably become necessary to introduce a fuel surcharge to your ticket price, effective from Wednesday 1 April 2026. The surcharge is payable at the time of booking.

The surcharge is applicable for all new bookings from 30/3/26 with travel from 1 April.

Fuel Surcharge Payable: $10 per adult, $5 per child (4-14 years).
Price is per person and not applicable for infants (0-3years)

This surcharge will be monitored and reviewed regularly in accordance with fuel price fluctuations. Thank you for your understanding.
