Rescue Dive Course

With Quicksilver Dive’s 5 Star PADI Instructor Development Centre, and access to an amazing array of Great Barrier Reef dive sites and modern dive catamarans, you will have a highly professional, first-class training environment in which to continue your diver education.

Quicksilver Dive’s PADI Rescue Diver course incorporates eLearning, one day of heated pool and classroom training followed by two-day trips to the Agincourt ribbon reefs for six dives. PADI eLearning materials are provided and must be completed prior to joining the course.

The Rescue Diver course is a crucial step in diving education and is a transitional stage moving beyond recreational diving. You will become a more confident diver as you learn rescue and emergency techniques, and how to prevent and manage potential problems in the water.

Through this course, you will come to appreciate and understand the importance of rescue training for general diver safety and incident management. The pre-requisites for this course are a PADI Advanced Open Water certificate or equivalent with another training agency and a current First Aid certificate* (valid within 24 months) with CPR (valid within 12 months)**.

*For student divers wishing to work on a dive boat in Queensland, you will be required to complete the Australian RTO first aid courses.  Quicksilver is happy to point you in the right direction.

** If you are from interstate or overseas and don’t plan to work on a dive boat in Queensland, Quicksilver can provide the suitable Emergency First Response course in-house, as part of the Rescue course for $150.00 per person.
